2011 Magazine Base Pad, 140mm to C2/ODS

$27.95

**If you do not intend to use these pads on a Staccato brand magazine in a Staccato brand grip module on a Staccato 2011, then this product is not for you.

Magazine base pad for STI/Staccato 2011 factory magazine, all generations. Intended for 20rd/140mm length magazine tubes ONLY. On a 20rd/140mm length tube, this will lock in ONLY on the shorter C2/VIP/ODS grips (ODS - Officer's Double Stack, as designated by the factory), and provides a 20 round mag which has positive overtravel stop for slide lock reloads.

*NOT INTENDED FOR USE WITH ANY MAGAZINE WELL INSTALLED.*

Machined from 6061 aluminum and anodized matte black. Includes classic 10-8 features: serrated front for easier stripping and more tactile handling, scallops on side for stripping stuck mag, and dimples on the bottom for marking your magazine.

DOES NOT FIT:

  • 2019 Slim Tactical Mag well and any other legacy mag wells produced under STI brand name prior to 01/2020
  • Post 2020 production Dawson/Staccato Tactical Advantage magazine well
  • Any other brand magazine wells, since each have unique internal profiles that make it impossible to achieve positive over insertion stop on all of them.
  • Any other brand magazines or tubes other than STI/Staccato factory, as they may not have the same dimensions and therefore cannot be guaranteed to lock in or provide over insertion stop.

**The star will sit below flush due to our plate being thicker. The pad's hole location is set to minimum spec to eliminate any fore/aft play of the pad on the tube, but it can make for a very tight fit for the factory retainer (the star). Here the solutions to try if the star isn’t popping up into the base pad:
1) Hold the mag tube and rap the serrated front of the base pad on a wooden block, inertia usually is enough to seat the star retainer.
2) Use a larger diameter punch to push the star down and tilt it in order to have it pop up.

*NOT INTENDED FOR USE WITH ANY MAGAZINE WELL INSTALLED.*

>>>Some of the most recent 140mm tubes are slightly shorter fore and aft, and if the listed steps for troubleshooting above or on the Videos link don't work, it may be necessary to lightly sand the front of the retainer plate to fit. Apologies for the inconvenience.

    2011 Magazine Base Pad, 140mm to C2/ODS

Great fit and finish. Even better they do what needs to be done using 140mm magazines. If you run 140mm mags on a C2 they are a must.

    2011 Magazine Base Pad, 140mm C2/ODS

    Fitment is off

The quality is good as befits 10-8. However, the hole in the basepad that the star in the baseplate is meant to insert into is dimensionally off. There was nothing I could do to manually maneuver the baseplate into place. Finally I gave the magazine a really sharp rap on a hard surface which got the baseplate to - not fully align - but at least hang on by an edge so that I could no longer slide the basepad off by hand. At the end of the day I think it's probably functional and probably better than a basepad that is too short for the frame but doesn't instill a lot of confidence.

    c2 Rd basepad is sweet

Got to test out the basepad a few times this weekend and its great. Def does what it says preventing overtravel. Would highly reccomend.

    Ok, still works

The fit of this 140mm mag base pad wasn't great. Could not get the star to lock in 100% as they did with the 126mm mag base pads. It is locked in about 90%, so it holds together and functions but I had to really work at it, including trying to use needle nose pliers and an armorer's punch hammer and a block of wood.

    2011 Magazine Base Pad, 140mm to C2

Great product…really provides a clean look to the larger 20 rnd mag. And prevents the dreaded over insertion.

    sweet purchase

I bought these base plates to run in my c2 even knowing they will not go into the gun with the dawson precision magwell. I gave these base plates and nice bevel ( about 45 degree on the 4 corners) and they go in nice and perfectly. I did a step by step on Reddit for anyone who cares or wants this set up as information on this platform is hard to find. Cheers! Great product! excellent purchase ability with the grip they put on them

    2011 c2 mag plate for 20rd

Product fit and works great i like the design and function i ordered 3. The finish i was not impressed with had a matt black coating. Would be much nicer product with a smooth more staccato factory style finish. They matt ginish scratched easy and already is looking crappy after use.

    Impeccable

Fit, finish, form, function. These base pads have it all. Very high quality addition to my C2 mags.
