Description
***Update 02/05/2024: We are no longer able to get restock on the physical DVD. However, my Patreon's "Charlie" Tier (CLICK HERE) has a year long 1911 build class which covers all these same topics. The archived recordings are available to stream for Charlie Tier members, and a one month subscription is just $19.11....less than the cost of this DVD set. You'll also get access to all of my most current 1911 projects and instruction there.
***Because everyone seems to ask, NO, this DVD is not available as a free gift or for streaming or in any other format on the Patreon. As far as I am concerned, it's out of print and my updated training is on Patreon. Hope this helps.
OUT OF PRINT. In this video I cover how to take your stock 1911 and tune it for maximum performance, whether you want to use one for duty, CCW, defense training, or competition. Watch as I take a stock Springfield Armory 1911, tune all aspects of the fit and function, and fit Wilson Combat and 10-8 Performance parts. For best results, you should already be familiar with the 1911 and have a good working knowledge of using hand tools. 3 DVD set.

Happy Little Squirrel
I'm literally a novice for anything beyond field stripping the 1911.This video is awesome as I begin to explore working on my own 1911. Thanks for this.

1911 Duty Tune DVD
Panteo and Hilton really brought out a fantastic product here. No DVD can replace face to face training with experts, but this DVD comes really close to it. You tube videos that I've seen trying to convey a similar content fall miserably short in comparison.

1911 Duty Tune Video.
Thought I knew how to build/tune 1911. What I learned from the video proved I didn't. Someone wanting to change/install a thumb safety or extractor NEEDS this video. It's that good. And that's the tip of the iceberg as far as the info. Mr Yam knows his stuff and knows how to teach it. Plus the plugs for saving sea turtles is a nice touch. LOL. Really great video.

Currently the only 1911 tuning video worth buying
In the context of carrying a factory 1911, this is a great video that demonstrates the initial work to be put in so you as the user can be off to the races once the work is complete. Hilton does a great job of both telling you and showing you what needs to be done. While you can certainly read about these procedures online, you won't have the clarity in Hilton showing what you start with, demonstrating what needs to be done in real time, and ending with the finished product. That leaves very little guesswork as to how much you need to do file or what the end product should look like so you can work slowly, take your time, and finish with something that looks right. I also really appreciated the simplicity of the tools required to carry out most of these tasks. I didn't feel like I needed to buy an entire set of expensive gunsmithing files or an enormous range in the grits of sandpaper. What this allows someone like me to do is to select just the tools that I need without monkeying around and guessing what tool to use and how much of it throughout the process. A minor thing I also appreciated was that the video didn't feel like an extended informercial. There are other 1911 tuning or armorer's videos out there and at some points it can feel like you're sitting through 20 minutes of shilling. Where Hilton recommends a specific product, the recommendation is paired with a specific reason and not just for the sake of showing you something to buy. Overall, 5/5 stars. Thoroughly enjoyed it and I can only hope to take a class with Hilton in the future. Cheers

So many sea turtles...
Aside from Hilton's numerous references about sea turtles being choked by plastic containers, this video is a must for a knowledgeable 1911 user. Hilton's organic style of teaching brings to light the necessary operations to bring one's 1911 to full duty use. By breaking down the modules into a comprehensive way of enhancing the pistol, the viewer can understand why the modifications are done so a duty pistol can be ready at a moment's notice. I used Hilton's way of fitting a Wilson Combat extractor to my recent MEUSOC build, and the pistol passed the extractor test with flying colors. This video is a must for a 1911 professional user who enjoys a sea turtle reference throughout the video. Thank you again, Hilton, for passing down the critical knowledge needed to make a 1911 next level reliable and I am forever grateful.
