Glock Front Sight, Extra Tall for Optic/Suppressor Glock Front Sight, Extra Tall for Optic/Suppressor

Glock Front Sight, Extra Tall for Optic/Suppressor

$35.45 - $45.95

Extra tall front sights allow clearance over optics and suppressors. Blade is .125" wide with 40lpi serrations to provide crisp visual focus and glare reduction.  Finished in black QPQ salt bath nitrocarburizing (aka Melonite, same as the Glock slide).

Fiber optic model uses .060" fiber rod that is flared into a .075" diameter counterbore in the face of the sight blade.

If used with our .395" tall suppressor/optic rear (.320" above the slide), we have found that the .315" front sight is appropriate for most samples of the Glock 19/17/34 MOS.

Plain black is ideal for use as a backup front sight for an optic equipped pistol if you prefer a plain front/rear to minimize visual clutter when using the red dot sight. Fiber optic is the top option for a suppressor equipped pistol. Fiber optic is also viable for an optic pistol to make the backup sights quicker to pick up. For this application we recommend a green fiber optic to visually deconflict the iron and electronic sights.

Includes set screw. Fiber optic model includes one each red and green fiber optic rods.

**INSTALL ONLY TO MAX TORQUE OF 6 INCH/LBS or else you may risk cracking the threaded post.

***Due to manufacturing tolerances by our fiber optic supplier, there may be slight variation in the diameter of the fiber optic rod. Use a razor blade or X-Acto knife at 90 degrees to the rod and gently scrape the outside diameter a little bit and it will fit right in without any compromise to the function.

Can height front sight - Glock

Love it. Same standard of design and execution that I've come to expect from Hilton. His advice to use green fiber optic when paired with a red dot is absolutely spot-on.

    Glock Front Sight Review

These are awesome. For a 1/3 cowitness they're just enough out of the way that I can ignore them but also the front sight is the right height and width I can use them for precise shots out to 25 yards of the dot fails.

Glock Front Sight, Extra Tall for Optic/Suppressor

This is one of two that I have purchased and installed. 1 set on my G34.5 MOS and the other on a G45 MOS. Both will be used in conjunction with a Forward Control Design RMR plate and HS 507c or RMR Type 2. Fit and finish is perfect as always. Black front and black rear is perfect when paired with a red dot. 10-8 is my only choice. I have 10-8 front sights on 13 Glocks. There is no alternative. Going to install a set of these sights on a G26.3 build in the near future.

Bottom 1/3 Backup sight for Pistol Mounted Optic

10-8 Performance (Hilton) is very knowledgeable and definitely pointed me in the right direction. I recently set of a G45 with a RMR Type 2. I didn't want the hard sight and red dot to co-witness. I originally wanted a blacked out front and rear sight, but Hilton suggested his green fiber optic sight. After shooting a bunch of drills and a qualification run he was 100% correct. The green fiber disappeared. I also completed a portion of the qualification with the red dot off, to verify the back up sight zero. I highly recommend this product, along with the blacked out rear sight. Thanks Hilton

    Easy to install

I'm partial to fiber optics, how they stand out and contrast makes this front sight perfect for me. But I think the best feature of this front sight is it's ease of installation. Sometimes Glock sights are hard to fix on straight, especially after screwing in. The length of this front sight made it really easy to see when it's canted or off.

Glock Front Sight, Extra Tall for Optic/Suppressor

I went with this front sight (paired with the 10-8 optic height rear) on a Glock 19 Gen 5 with a Trijicon RMR on a CHPWS plate. As noted in my review of the rear sight, these do give more of a lower 1/3 cowitness with the setup I described than using other sights which I found to be closer to absolute cowitness. I find this to be a positive, but you may not. These went on easily and appear to be very rugged. Following the page description/notes, I went with the black front sight with no fiber optic/dot/tritium. Again, I find this to be a good thing. Between no dots and the lower 1/3 view, I find these to be much less distracting than my previous setup which was another major brand that had tritium dots and a higher ride. I do use these on a carry weapon, but feel like the risk is worth the reward in terms of having a less distracting sight picture for the 99.9% of the time that the optic is up, versus the total nightmare scenario of the optic going down in a fight in a low light scenario, where your light sources (weapon mounted and/or handheld) also go down simultaneously. Ultimately, each man must prioritize his needs. These fit mine. Thanks for the great product. Keep up the good work.

Almost what I was looking for…

Decent front iron backup for a MOS G19 w/ rmr. Perfect height and width ( really like the wider base to cover that damn over sized hole Glock leaves…) Only negative is the shiny spot on the top line of serrations where mine was dinged before packaging. Not a returnable issue as I apply a bit of day glow paint anyway but… Combined with the matching rear these are a nice set of low cowitness irons for the mos/rmr. Ill but them again for my next pistol.

    Fit my 43x

I was worried it wouldn't fit my milled 43x slide. 100% co witness with my Holosun 507k and direct milled slide.
