Description

Features a solid aluminum shoe with a serrated face in bead blasted natural finish, a full width stainless steel bow, and a fixed stainless steel overtravel stop permanently mounted from the rear of the shoe. This trigger eliminates all issues associated with loose overtravel screws -- no staking, Loctite, or other end user monitoring is necessary. Once the overtravel is set, it is good to go for the life of the trigger.

Our flat trigger has become one of our trademarks, and brings this competition tested concept into a duty ready design. The shoe features a flat face, providing consistent trigger feel no matter where you engage the trigger. The length of pull is the same as the shortest point on a traditional "long" curved trigger.

Available in long/flat only.

The triggers are oversized and will require gunsmith fitting. Please note that the rear mounted overtravel stop is NOT a screw - it is not meant to turn and should be filed to provide the necessary overtravel length.

Compatible with all single stack 1911 pattern pistols.

Decent, but it took some work.

Nice trigger, but I did have to do about 30-45 minutes worth of fitting to get it to fit my Sig 1911. My only real complaint was that the trigger bow was a bit buggered up, I got it fixed so it worked fine; I polished the bow and it slide nicely. I know this has a fixed over travel stop but I did have to break that free and turn it out some more so my trigger would have less over travel, I am not a big fan of the fixed over travel stop. For me if I would not have been able to break the set screw loose I would not have been able to set my trigger up right.

Once again, best trigger on the market.

This is the second trigger I've bought for my 1911s. It is flawless, beautiful and oh so comfortable. After using the 10-8 flat trigger, no other trigger is good enough. The flat pad feels so natural on my finger, the pull is another and shooting is just beautiful with it. Thanks 10-8 for making amazing products.

Nice trigger, very rugged, well made.

I bought this trigger to install in a Colt Delta Elite. I have short, thick fingers and wanted to try a short, flat trigger. While there are several flat triggers available, I decided to give 10-8 a try since I liked the oversize aspect of it so I could fit it to my gun. I ground quite a bit off the trigger face with no problems, made a real nice, good looking short, flat trigger out of it. Then I took some off the top and bottom of the trigger so it would fit in my guns trigger channel. Once properly fit, it dropped in freely with no play at all! The trigger's over travel screw at it's provided length was perfect for my gun. I did not have to take any off and it functioned perfect and left me with the knowledge that it could not work loose at some later time, it is permanently installed and adjusted and requires filing for shorter applications. The bow was easily polished to a mirror like finish and was in spec for the Colt. The only negative that I have is that the bow is not cut for take-up adjustment. No big deal as I was easily able to cut mine and make small wings that allow for the appropriate adjustment but it would have been nice to have the factory option. On some 1911's, take-up is not a problem but with this particular Colt, it had more than I liked so I had to make the adjustment to reduce it a bit. (Yes, I know that some take-up is necessary for trigger reset, this was excess!) Overall a very well built product and one that I will likely buy again!

Never going back to another trigger

I was nervous to buy into the hype of these flat triggers but after trying the 10-8 out I'm in the process of changing out the triggers in all of my 1911s. High quality parts.

    Angry grunt.

I just got the news from my gunsmith. This trigger was apparently too wide to fit properly in a Tisas 1911 pistol. Everything else about the guns internals is fine, but this thing apparently needed a bit of grinding down to fit. He has been gunsmithing for decades and has never seen anything like it. I also don't like the look of the over travel stop. Seems like an ill thought out design.

Flat trigger is a natural fit!

Just had to write and say the flat trigger is a natural fit to my finger. Now everybody is different, but I think most will agree, no matter where you put your finger on the initial pull, feels just like the first time. Trigger bow is smooth and clean (my old one had some burs on the bow and made for snagging) and definitely improved my trigger pull. Thanks 10-8.

    best trigger for my Colt

I've used several of these and the 10-8 long flat is the only trigger for me. Drop in for a RIA, and took only minor fitting for a Colt 70 series. Smooth and the perfect length/ergonomics when combined with slimline grips for me.

    Top Quality, Easy Install

I have used triggers for several builds from different manufacturers and this one is one of the best. The small details really stand out, from the nicely cut serrations to the slight radius on the edges of the trigger which makes for excellent feel. It took only minor fitting in an 80 series build and only minor filing of the overtravel screw. Installed, with saftey check in 20 minutes. Now to the range! I would highly recommend this trigger and I am using it next in an STI Single Stack build.

    High Quality / Easy Fit

Trigger required minor fitting in my Springfield Recon. I changed the trigger to have a smooth trigger face and get rid of the over travel adjustment hole that chews my finger. Minor fitting (top & bottom) resulted in a smooth trigger with "just right" over travel. I would buy this product again.
